Tuning

This cpm 2 tuning guide hub helps you turn a stock car into a drag build: pick an engine, upgrade the parts that limit torque, set the gearbox and lock the differentials. Everything starts in the garage under Car Tuning, which splits into Engine, Gearbox, Suspension and Maintenance. The builds here come from players' published setups, so treat each one as a recipe for that car and test your own result on the strip.

Engine: Torque Endurance Sets the Ceiling

Each engine in the market lists its endurance in NM, and the stock limits differ a lot: the V8 392 is rated 1000 NM while the V8 Coyote is rated 555 NM. Upgraded internals raise that ceiling. On the M177 V8, the crankshaft goes from 1000 NM stock to 2000 NM with the Cobb Tech part, and the top Forgespeed flywheel is rated to 9500 RPM.

Keep every part's condition above 95% before a run, and repair worn parts in Maintenance.

Gearbox: Pick the Box, Then Adjust Within Its Limits

Every gearbox shows its stock ratios with a minimum and maximum. Each gear moves about 10% either way and the final drive about 15%, so choosing the right box matters more than the sliders. Gearboxes in the market list unlimited endurance; the clutch carries the torque limit, and a 2000 NM clutch suits a 2000+ HP build.

Suspension, Tires and Fuel: Finish the Drag Car

The Kartal build pairs its engine with drag slick tires sized separately front and rear, saved suspension changes and E85 fuel. Start dyno testing with stock or slightly raised controls; the Kartal's dyno showed increased turbocharger wear at 1.65 bar, and its quarter-mile result read 6.880 seconds.
